Dr. Shane received her medical degree from George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences and completed her residency training in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. She then completed a Pediatric Pathology Fellowship at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. Additional subspecialty expertise includes liver pathology and neuropathology. She is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and Pediatric Pathology.


MELVIN HOSHIKO, MD

Anatomic Pathology, Microbiology, Cytopathology

Dr. Hoshiko received his medical degree from University of California, Irvine, and completed residency training in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at UCI and Long Beach Memorial Medical Center. He is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and Microbiology and Cytopathology.


JULIO IBARRA, MD

Dr. Ibarra received his medical degree from the National University of Mexico in Mexico City and completed his internship and residency training in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at University of California, Irvine. Dr. Ibarra is an internationally recognized expert in breast pathology and the author of numerous papers on the topic. He is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and Cytopathology with special expertise in Breast Pathology and Neuropathology. He is a Clinical Professor of Pathology at UCI School of Medicine.


SAVITA RIES, MD

Dr. Ries received her medical degree from University of Nebraska Medical Center. She completed her residency training in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at University of California, Irvine, followed by a two-year Surgical Pathology Fellowship at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center. She then did a Dermatopathology Fellowship at UCI with Dr. Ronald Barr. Her other subspeciality expertise includes Breast Pathology. She is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and Dermatopathology.


BE T. HUYNH, MD

Dr. Huynh received her medical degree from Creighton University. She completed her residency training in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at University of California, Irvine, and then completed Oncologic Surgical Pathology Fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. She is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.


ELHAM KHANIFAR, MD

Dr. Khanifar received her medical degree from University of Oxford Medical School and completed her residency training in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at University of California, Irvine. She then completed a fellowship in Gastrointestinal/Liver Pathology at University of California, Los Angeles. She is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.


JARED SHOWS, MD

Dr. Shows is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and Pediatric Pathology. He received his medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center Shreveport and completed residency training in pathology at the University of Colorado. He completed a Pediatric Pathology Fellowship at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. Dr. Shows enjoys bone and soft tissue pathology.


PARWIZ J. SIAGHANI, DO

Dr. Siaghani is board certified in Anatomic, Clinical, and Hematopathology. He received his medical degree from Midwestern University Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency training in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at University of California, Irvine. He then completed fellowship training in Hematopathology at City of Hope Cancer Center in Duarte, California.


WISSAM DAHOUD, MD

Anatomic Pathology, Gynecologic Pathology

Director of Microbiology, Long Beach Medical Center

Dr. Dahoud is a board-certified pathologist who specializes in gynecologic and surgical oncology. He received his medical degree from Aleppo University. He completed two residencies: an obstetrics and gynecology residency at Damascus University Medical Center and an anatomic and clinical pathology residency at Case Western Reserve. He then completed a fellowship in oncologic surgical pathology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and another fellowship in gynecologic pathology at Johns Hopkins.


BANAFSHEH RASHIDI, MD

Anatomic Pathology, Cytopathology

Dr. Rashidi received her medical degree from Beheshti School of Medicine in Tehran, Iran. She completed her residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at University of California, Irvine. She then completed one year of surgical pathology fellowship at UCLA, followed by a cytopathology fellowship at UCI. She is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology as well as cytopathology.


NINA RAHIMI, MD

Hematopathology, Anatomic Pathology, Transfusion Medicine

Dr. Rahimi is board certified in Anatomic, Clinical, and Hematopathology. She received her medical degree from Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin School of Medicine and Science and subsequently completed her residency training in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. She then completed fellowship training in Hematopathology at City of Hope Cancer center in Duarte, California.
